What is Disordered Eating?
Many people utilize disordered eating or dieting patterns to cope with underlying psychological stress. This can include restricting the number of calories you eat, bingeing, over exercising, self induced vomiting, compulsive dieting, or restricting the types of foods you eat.
How We Treat
Our primary focus in treating disordered eating is getting to the underlying causes for the behavior or rules that are placed around food. Our treatment program uses multiple evidence based treatments that can treat both the behavior and the cause. We aim to replace the coping skills utilized, and treat the underlying cause.
